Just Panela Candied Bacon

Ingredients:

- 1 pound of thick cut bacon
- 1 cup Just Panela (for glaze)
- 1/4 cup water (for glaze)
- 1 cup Just Panela for topping

Directions:


1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Place bacon on a rack on a lined cookie sheet.

3. In a small bowl mix the water and Just Panela. If it is too thick you can add more water or microwave for a few seconds until it is runnier.

4. Brush a thin layer on each bacon strip.

5. Bake for 15 minutes.

6. Remove from oven. Flip over and brush with more glaze.

7. Bake for another 15 minutes or until the bacon is crisp. (continue steps 5, 6, and 7 until desired crispness)

8. Remove from oven. Brush additional thin layer if needed.

9. Sprinkle with Just Panela on both sides.

10. Place in oven for an additional 5 minutes to candy the Just Panela if desired.
